Terms of Service

Last updated September 28, 2026

These terms are being reviewed and may change. If they change in a way that matters, we'll ask you to agree again in the app.

The rules for using Miamzi, in plain words. Questions go to info@miamzi.com.

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Miamzi Solutions Inc. ("Miamzi"), 148 Leblanc Avenue, Shediac, New Brunswick E4P 1Y8, Canada, about using the Miamzi app and website at www.miamzi.com. By creating an account or using Miamzi, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with your information. Section 7 covers anything you choose to make public.

2. Who can use Miamzi

You must be at least 13 years old to use Miamzi. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you.

3. Your account

Keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You are responsible for what happens in it. Your username must not pretend to be another person or brand; we may change a username that does.

4. What Miamzi is, and what it is not

Miamzi helps you keep track of your food, choose recipes, plan meals and shop. It gives you information to decide with; the decisions are yours:

  • Dates are estimates. Miamzi estimates how long food keeps from typical shelf lives. Check the package, how the food looks and smells, and food-safety guidance before you eat it.
  • Allergies and diets: Miamzi hides recipes by reading their ingredient lists. It does not read product packaging, and it can miss things. If you have an allergy, an intolerance or a medical diet, always check the ingredients and labels yourself.
  • Nutrition figures are estimates from public food databases.
  • Prices and deals come from store flyers. They may be out of date or wrong; the price at the store is the one that counts.
  • Nothing in Miamzi is medical, nutrition or health advice.

5. AI features

Scanning, Chef Zi and recipes made for you use an AI model, and only after you allow it. AI can be wrong: it can misread a photo, and a recipe it writes has not been cooked or tested by us. Check ingredients, amounts, temperatures and cooking times, and cook meat, fish and eggs to safe temperatures.

6. Your content

What you add to Miamzi stays yours: your kitchen, notes, photos and the recipes you write. You give us permission to store and use it to run Miamzi for you. It stays private unless you choose to share it. When you make something public, section 7 explains what others and we may do with it. A recipe you import from a website or a video stays in your own collection; import only for your own use.

7. What you make public

Nothing you add to Miamzi is public until you choose to make it so: a public recipe, a public collection, a public meal plan, or your public profile. When you do, this section applies to it ("Your Content": recipes with their titles, ingredients, method, notes and tips; photos; and your profile's name, @handle, bio, link and photo).

  • You keep ownership. You own Your Content, or have the right to share it. Miamzi does not claim ownership of it.
  • The licence you give us. You give Miamzi a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute and promote Your Content in and around Miamzi, and to adapt it: format, resize, translate, check and label it; attach nutrition facts, dietary tags and ingredient matching; and include it in collections, meal plans, search results, shareable previews and marketing for Miamzi, with credit to your @handle. Our service providers (hosting, storage, image delivery) may do these things for us.
  • Moral rights. To the extent the law allows, you waive, in Miamzi's favour, any moral rights in Your Content that would stop those uses, such as changes to formatting or presentation. We will credit you wherever we reasonably can.
  • How long it lasts. The licence lasts while Your Content is public. If you make it private or delete your account, we remove it from public view within a reasonable time. Copies may remain in our backups, where it was already shared or included before you removed it, and where another member saved a recipe to their own collection before you removed it; they may keep that copy for personal use.
  • What other members may do. They may view, save, cook from, print and plan meals with your public recipes, for their own personal, non-commercial use.
  • Your promises. What you make public is your own work, or you have permission to share it and grant this licence; it does not copy another person's recipe text, photos or video captions without permission; it does not infringe anyone's rights, including copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights; it is not misleading and gives no unsafe food-safety or health advice, or medical claims; and anything you publish from a social media account is from your own account.
  • Recipes written with Chef Zi. A recipe drafted by Chef Zi that you publish is shown as "written with Chef Zi". You grant the licence above for whatever rights you hold in it, and accept that other members or Miamzi may publish similar recipes.
  • Our checks, and your responsibility. We may check, label, decline, hide or remove any content, for example after reports from other members, and may suspend a public profile. We do not review content in advance and are not responsible for recipes members publish. You are responsible for Your Content.
  • No payment. Publishing on Miamzi is free and does not entitle you to payment, including for follows, saves or sign-ups credited to you, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

8. Community rules

When you publish, share or write anything other members can see, do not post:

  • anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, threatening or sexually explicit;
  • someone else's recipe text or photos without their permission;
  • unsafe food-safety or health advice;
  • spam, or content pretending to be another person or brand.

You can report content and block a member. We do not review content before it appears, but we may hide or remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

9. Fair use

Do not copy Miamzi's recipes or data in bulk, use automated tools to access it, try to break or overload it, or get around its limits. AI features and photos have daily limits to keep costs fair for everyone; we may change them.

10. Price

Miamzi is free during early access. If we add paid features, we will tell you what they cost before you are ever charged, and you will not be charged without agreeing first.

11. Other services

Miamzi links to and uses information from other services, such as recipe websites, TikTok, Open Food Facts and store flyers. Their own terms apply to them, and we are not responsible for what they publish.

12. Changes, and ending

Miamzi is in early access, so features will change, and we may add, change or remove them. You can delete your account at any time from the account menu or Profile settings; the Privacy Policy explains what happens to your information. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we will tell you why where we can.

13. Our responsibility

We work to keep Miamzi accurate and running, but we provide it as it is, without promises that it will always be available, complete or free of mistakes. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that come from relying on it, including food that spoils, allergic reactions or prices that differ at the store. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer protection law. [Wording to be reviewed by counsel.]

14. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of New Brunswick and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. [To be confirmed by counsel.]

15. Changes to these terms

When we change these terms we update the date at the top. If a change matters, we will ask you to agree to the new version in the app before you continue.
